Cafe World is a flash based game you can find on Facebook. The creators of the game Zynga is still expanding on the game as it is still very new. Currently still in BETA.
The purpose of the game is to cook, serve and sell.
First, you will need to go through the initial tutoring so you have an idea on how to cook.
After which, this is where the important stuff comes in. It's the stuff that the game doesn't teach you, but you will pay the price if not careful.
1. When you cook food, make sure you are there to serve it once it is cooked. The longer it takes to cook the food, the longer it lasts on the stove before it goes bad. So, if you're going to be there a while, then cooking 5 minute food is fine. But if you are going to go out, make sure you cook what you will be back in time for.
2. Watch your coins. You start with quite a lot of coins in the beginning, but don't take that for granted. Cooking costs money and you will also need it for upgrades as you level. And trust me, the first few levels, there's a lot of upgrading to do. Keep your money ready at all times. A stove starts at 500 each and counters costs the same.
3. Start by cooking some burgers and maintain them. The initial batch you cook, you will notice the burgers split itself onto 2 counters. Now don't worry, this is a one off thing. Once the first counter is cleared, your food items will stack, infinitely. So, you can actually cook 10,000 burgers and they will stack on 1 counter. Of course, you'd be nuts to do that anyway.
4. Counter to Table principle. Your staff has to walk from where they are, to counter. Get the food, and then deliver the food to the customer. After which, when the customer has ended their meal, the staff has to clear the table, before being able to serve food to the next customer on the same table. Therefore, keeping the counters as close to the tables as possible, is the main idea of the layout.
5. Chairs and Tables principle. This is a short one. MAKE SURE the chairs are facing a table of it's own. Customers DO NOT share tables as the plates of food are rather large. And customers do not know how to move a chair themselves. So, you have to make sure it's ready for them all the time.
6. Customer Blockages - Just like a real restaurant, if you place three chairs in a row with no place to walk behind them, you can only use either of the chairs on the outside. The middle is basically useless. This principle applies in this game. So, if you place a chair in the corner or a place where it is blocked by other things, the customers will not sit there. Make sure that all your furniture is accessible by both the customer AND your staff. Try to ensure a walking area behind each chair, so that customers can walk past chairs to another.
7. Staff Blockages - Counters to Tables are also important. Your staff need to be able to walk from the counter to the table. Blockages will cause it to walk either a large round, or not at all. There is a bug to this, but I'm not going to mention it yet as it's for later. Now is just the basic principles and getting started.
8. YOU are the chef. You prepare the food, you cook the food and you serve the food from stove to counter. Your staff will handle it from there. If you can, try to place the stoves so that you can click on them easily to cook efficiently, whilst keeping them close to the counters so that you can serve the food without too much delay. Some say this is important, whilst others say bleh!...well...you can make that decision.
9. Limitations - You start with a limited number of counters and stoves. Each counter can contain 1 type of food. Not a limit to how much, but type. So, if you have 2 counters, this means you can cook and serve 2 types of food at any one time. Until the counters are empty, you won't be able to serve another food without the counter being empty. Now if there is only 2 left on the counter and you have 1000 food ready to deliver, it's obvious. Delete it. If you have 1000 food on the counter and only have 300 to serve, then you're a little bit silly to replace the counter stock. BUT...if you watch what you cook, then you won't have to face this scenario in the first place.
10. Buzz Rating - This is like a popularity bar. The higher the number, the more people come to your cafe per minute. Now I don't know what the exact measurements are, but at 105 rating, which is the maximum for now I believe, I count an average of 4 seconds between customers, thus, about 15 per minute. Maybe more, maybe less. But that is not so important. If you're having trouble with Buzz Rating, I will later show you how to boost it. For every happy customer you have, you receive 0.1 Buzz Rating points. For every UNHAPPY customer, you lose 0.5 points. So, if you have 1 in 6 customers unhappy, then you will maintain. This is for lower levels, but at higher levels (Buzz Rating levels I mean), an unhappy customer costs 0.7 Buzz Rating points. So watch out.
So...that is about it. This game comprises of 10 things that you should think about when playing. Once you do it a few times, it becomes natural instinct and you know what to do next.
